When I Showed A Special Young Woman My "Move" With My Sunglasses

In 1996, I often went to Hardees to drink coffee and read my St. Louis newspaper and a high school junior named Angie (who worked at Hardees) was kind enough to spend quite a bit of quality time with me during her work breaks and also on her days off. One story that I've shared with several is the "move" that I came up with that I showed Angie with my sunglasses, as I recently described to Angie below in an e-mail, as she could not recall it from so many years ago:

You and I were talking in a Hardees booth (as we often did during one of your breaks) and it hit me to show you my "move" with my sunglasses. So I went out to my car to get them, sat back down across from you with my feet in the seat of the booth, wearing my sunglasses and facing at a right angle to you, and I told you, "You're just sitting there, minding your own business, and then you slowly reach up for your sunglasses......" And my right hand then slowly reaches up for the corner of my sunglasses and then, as I carefully hold the hinge of my sunglasses with my fingers, I told you, "And then, when you least expect it......," and then I simultaneously whip off my sunglasses and jerk my head around to tell you, "But he was cool!!!!"

You were stunned momentarily and then you kind of screamed, "That was STUPID!!!"

I replied, "Stupid? Well, just for that I won't do the thing with my sunglasses for you again."

With your eyes closed (and with you laughing very hard), you told me, "Thank you," which I thought was very funny.
